dressed up as a Kampung Boy and ready for party. today is my workplace Dinner & Dance (D&D)

the Engineering staff have put so much effort to bring in the kampung ambience. well done.

food was plenty. with compliments from all head of department. i had many serving trying all sort of food except those non-halal, yikes!

this year was no less fun but i hate the DJ, not the MC. grrrr... friends complaint the music "suxs" and the sudden silent while we were dancing was rude. everything else it was a blast.

Happy Birthday Reena!

breakfast was a quickie bite, thank you to Sabery for the Marche buns.

new friends made from the TVC crew.

April doing the model for our hotel TVC (TV Commercial) i was involved too. cannot wait for the TVC to be aired on screen. i was supposed to be involved in another scene in the evening but was cancelled at the last minute. i'm okay.

after going around in Little India finding Ms Susan bangles and Saree we head up for dinner. a treat from Encik Rizwan and Ms Susan at Apollo Banana Leaf. we had Fish Head Curry, Chicken Masala & my fave Channa Masala. first time ever i was offered the fish tongue and eye, not as bad as thought. the real challenge was to eat curried fish which i have not done for a very long time. in fact i only like fried or BBQ fish.

head down to Dunlop Street after dinner. going to a tailor. Ms Susan would like to have her Saree ready-made. i guessed it took lots of practice to wear a Saree. i knew because i tried before. oops!

a new Saree means a new accessories to add. good bargain Ms Susan. more bangles in your collection. hehehe...

my first visit to City Square Mall at Serangoon.

i had dinner at Sundanese Sayang. i have nasi Uduk Campur. a lil dissappointed because Nasi Uduk meant to be coconut rice but i was served with plain rice. they have ran out of dengdeng (sliced beef) so it was replaced it with one piece of prawn. overall i enjoyed the food and raw ambience, still it would be better if it was coconut rice. oh yes the Barley Lime was refreshing, i love it.

window shopping is best on a less crowd day. this mall claimed to be the first eco-friendly.

outside the mall. i love the surrounding, though not 100% up. worth the trip.

the best thing was, they have free shuttle service to my home. yes, free shuttle to Toa Payoh. 2 route to choosewith 25 minutes interval time:
1) CMS > Toa Payoh MRT > Novena MRT
2) CMS > Lavender MRT

i will be back soon, definitely.

i'm slightly exhausted from the Jakarta trip and in need of rest. i survived last night shift and surprised to "something" at work. should i be surprised? i guessed i shouldn't.

at home - i slept after 1300hrs, soon after i finished with my laundry and it was raining outside.

i knew Uncle Rosli & Aunt Tina came to fetch grandma to a relative wedding. i just could not wake up. i really need the rest. sorry i could not join the company and i do not know who's exactly getting married. some relative i may have met once a year during Hari Raya...

Alhamdulillah, i'm fine now - let's go to work, on night shift again with Reena.

the Christmas decoration at workplace is up. not bad for this year, something i called simplicity. me like.

on night shift before my off day to Batam.

today i visited DC Mall, searching for some good Indonesian novel, nothing interest me. instead we catch some rehearsal of traditional dance performance. nice step. remind me of my primary school ECA (Extra Curriculum Activity)

went to BCS, thinking about catching a movie. believe it or not, all sold out. what? all beacuse of the movie '2012' ....humph...

never mind let's go to Zerr place before dinner. we visited our ex-neighbour. Mas Bowo who sell 'Gorengan" - assortment of fried fritters. a little chat a little laugh before we head for dinner.

i and Zerr did not know the name of this place (strange - but it's within a short distance from where Zerr live, a number of factory nearby) but we knew we could find good food in this area. we found the popular stall in that area and had our order, 'Sotong Bakar' - "so delicious gila". the crowd grew bigger as some of them finish the shift from the nearby factory. happening place!

Zerr brought me to Panbil for 'jalan-jalan', it's been awhile since the last time i came here. we shop for groceries and food to cook.

dinner is home cook. i cooked 'Cah Sawi Udang' and Zerr cooked 'Opor Ayam'. with hot Steam Rice, dinner is served - late dinner.

once the dinner is over i accompany Zerr who is lately busy with his new partner - "Suzuki"

early excitement at Orchard even though Christmas is more than a month away. thanks to APEC 2009. impressive view comes from the hardwork and early planning that make my city vibrant and beautiful. i wanted and started to plan my trip here with my siblings. anytime before Christmas

while at home another early excitement comes from Cik Tina & grandma. they are too concern on their trip to Kuala Lumpur. attending a relative wedding next week. i could see that grandma hoping and relying on me to be coming along but no, i'm not able to. commitment to work? not really, it is just that my leave application rejected - put it in a nice way, it was not approved. sure i'm gonna miss the fun in Kuala Lumpur. so heartbreaking.

we make supper. Zerro do the Omelet, i cooked the rice. finally we are able to cook with the new stove installed. cost saving - perhaps.

we catch an Indonesian movie titled "Punk In Love" - starring my fave hero 'Vino G. Bastian'. a hilarious "die for love" comedy and i consider it as one of the best movie i watched this year. i can see Vino G. Bastian is expanding his talent here. damn he is funny. wait till i show it to bro Eyas...

waking up for breakfast. we had Lontong Sayur which Zerro bought at Mega Lagenda. while i rest Zerro will be leaving for work after that. i'm not feeling so good. maybe the rain caught on me.

popped some medicine and i slept till evening and i almost late for the ferry. Alhamdulillah i make it in 50minutes to Nagoya Hill meeting Zerro and the HarbourBay ferry terminal.

i'm back in Singapore safe & sound. night shift waiting.

we had lunch at Raja Bebek and later we bought some household product at Samarinda all in Nagoya Hill, and proceed to Mega Mall in Batam Center to buy VCD and CD.

Zerro wanted me to accompany him to watch movie 'Final Destination 4' at XXI - alright. let's dinner at 'Pempek Kolecta' and before the movie start we shopped at Hypermart.

it was drizzling on my way home from Little India after buying some stuff. it was raining when i stepped out from my shower it was almost 1145hrs. i need a rest after work. the night shift with Reena was fine. oh yes! while on my way home earlier i had some conversation with a new friend contacted via TAGGED. surprise-surprise... meet up? i give it a no as later the rain getting heavier and the sky getting darker. a sign perhaps? i slept in a chilled cold day even without the fan on. i could hear sometime clap of thunder and the heavy downpour became a music to my my ear... what a good day, sleeping in the house on a rainy-rainy day. and it even rain while i'm going out to work at 2145hrs.

i came to visit Batam, Zerro was not feeling well. i accompanied him for his dinner upon arrival.

to cheer him up i followed on his request to watch an Indonesian movie titled "Selendang Rockers". we bought the movie tickets.

proceed with my dinner at Resto Sawadee. i do ate alot before the movie starts.

well... as for the movie, it was a boring comedy. honestly that is my opinion. i think Saykoji acting save my day or should i say save the movie. the only interesting about the movie was the soundtrack - something fresh, i like...

just wait for the DVD i suggest.

i make a date with Gian & Ronaline for lunch yesterday. here we are today at Kith Cafe at Watermark in Rodyk Street. a small little cafe that serve good tasting food and delicious Pineapple with Ginger Juice. we happen to have the same order for food. Roasted Beef with Watercress Sandwich. Gian love the French Vanilla Ice-Cream while i truly like the Royal Chocolate Cake for desserts. yummylicious.

annual vaccination day at workplace. i have no problem, otherwise for someone else. i had good laughed.

there was an urgent call while i shower. it was a hot day on the way to work. fairly busy myself with work and i have a new log book to write on. i was fine. then there is a matter that make me sad. dinner became a quick one. wasted. it's not because i can't get to eat but i have to waste a plate of Rice with Fried Scrambled Egg and Sliced Chicken Sausage. all because the "Big Boss" is calling you. i'm sorry for the food which i have to disposed. knowing once i'm back at the workstation, i can pass the idea of going back to the canteen for a continuation of my meals.

sad, so sad... i wasted my dinner to the dumpster.

almost everyone left the BBQ party. left with some group of friends. i'm still enjoying. took couple of shots myself.

a fun night ended with some unnecessary arguement between 2person and cause a broken toe to another person. ouch! i wanted to laugh and feel sorry at the same time. going home after 0430hrs and smiling at the "fence climbing" incident which i witnessed- what the hell is he thinking?

while i was at work in the afternoon, i heard it was 2week MC for the broken toe. wow...

our company have a night out BBQ Party at Goldkist Resorts in East Coast. i'm not really looking forward as i know it could be a predictable event. i came on the 2nd night - the main event night. i enjoyed the food, some games and the familiar company but not much of mingling because there is a good movie showing on TV. i'm not good at telling too much story to my working colleagues but that does not mean i'm "anti-social" - excused me... i'm still reserved.

well i go with the flow and i'm still enjoying it, in the comfortable air-cond room instead of churning hot story outside with no sea breeze blowing. no good for me.

yes, i still can sprint- running with the red socks in hand. *wink*

busy night indeed. i went home after 2hours later. please don't tell me i'm slow. i'm just fixing myself right. it was a busy night.

dinner which consist of Rice and Ghee Fried Bittergourd was a consolation to a restless sleep just because someone in the house is so excited and making a show-off trying to get attention. that someone just got a new credit card and a cheque book. a reason i don't think necessary for that someone. i'm not jealous, i rather have a debit card and not involved myself in an IOU situation. also because that someone always think other in the house is a mobile ATM machine, which don't require a PIN number. just by using a self-pitiful word and expression.

let me see how much he would spend or spree. GOD forbids. hope that someone can balance his financial handling. i just hope.

thank you April for the McChicken. supper was served.

after work i went to NTUC for grocery shopping and before going home i bought breakfast for grandma from KFC. for few days grandma was entice by the KFC advertisement. so was i... i love the Nescafe Frappe.

decided to have my hair trimmed in the evening after my beauty sleep. went to Honey & Milk unisex salon. i'm starting to like this place. the male hairstylist from China really listen to what you want and very polite. i guessed he can't be friendly with me because of language barrier. nevertheless he is good with his skill - cutting and styling hair.

while i was getting ready to leave the house grandma was busy making Kek Kukus, the initial stage where you shifted the flour and started to mix with 'mixed fruits', raisins and nutmeg powder which she grated slowly while watching TV. grandma do it the traditional ways and by hand. no electric equipment involved. a relative had placed an order.

i never really like candy or sweet, only to a certain brand, flavour and taste. Anusa offered me some candies which looks like a watermelon. a tour guide bought for our department as a gift. thank you for the "Sticky : traditional hand-made yummy". all i knew i fell in love with the candy on the first taste.

i will dig out more of other flavours if they have. currently i enjoyed the Watermelon Rock. i love the packaging too. refill anyone? check it out: www.sticky.com.sg

thank Anusa for letting me try this Sa'le Roti. very nice and i can't wait to try the grind rice flour version. so this is one of the Nepalese food i have not tried.

Aunt Tina came to take grandma for medical check-up, i was sleeping. felt so-so lazy to wake up and did not want to do anything at all. you know why? because it is raining outside. i'm comfortable cuddling on the floor. when they came home from Toa Payoh Polyclinic they brought Rojak India for my lunch. thank you.

i had a plate of Rice with Kari Telur for dinner. thank you grandma, i loves it! watching TV before getting ready for work. night shift.

straight to supper after 2hours of karaoke. i recommended we eat at my regular roadside stall opposite Prima Asia.

another day i have to leave Zerro, while he was sleeping. well i have to. i'm working later in the afternoon. off from Batam to Singapore.

at work i was busy, i had a quickie bite for lunch. a bowl of Barley with Tau Kee. i would not go hungry even though it was just a deserts.

from work, off i go on Wave Master ferry to Batam, scheduled at 2010hrs. Zerro is waiting for his new pair of sandal.

dinner with Zerro at Avava Food court. i had Soto Medan and Zerro had Sup Buntut from Al-Kautri food stall. i don't enjoy much as Zerro did to the Sup Buntut.

i decided to rest at Prima Asia as later, i had appointment to meet Sheba'Wati & Alim Lolita. we are going for a karaoke session.

running errand for part of my work. have to drop by at Gucci in Paragon. delivering a pair of shoes and miscellaneous item for someone working there. i thought the service is supposed to be up to standard, well i was wrong somewhere - somehow. luckily i was not their customer. i'm just a delivery boy that evening.

on my way to Little India at the bus stop at Lucky Plaza, i bumped into a group of Indonesian uni-students. we became friends so soon. i became the unofficial tour guide to Mustafa Centre for this group. accompanying them to buy some souvenirs. we even had supper at CMK Restaurant - on me and i even guided them back. to the very same place i met them earlier on at Orchard Road but not without cam-whoring - the whole bunch of us. it was fun but it had to end. i wished they would enjoy their next trip to Kuala Lumpur and Thailand.

i was at home from work waiting for grandma to come home from grandpa relative's wedding. my bro Eyas was at home too.

well as i was about to take a shower, grandma arrived and spread the take-away food from the wedding on our kitchen table. ah... Nasi Minyak. it's been awhile i have not have it. should we? my bro Eyas agreed. it was superb.

decided to spend time at mama Maria place and to play with my nephews and niece. my other brothers Haris & Omai, my sis Farhana & Hubby Din, my nephew Nabil & niece Maskura is not at home. after watching Dhoom:2 on TV we decided to have dinner downstairs. we proceed to Habib Family Restaurant.

i tried the Nasi Char Siew and Chicken Tikka, both are nice. while mama Maria and my sis Faheerah had Ikan Pari Bakar & Tofu Hotplate. we enjoy the simple meal while i listen to my late-father story from mama Maria. thank you for the company.

i make my way home.

from Tekka Market i took a stroll along Serangoon Road till i reached the Deepavali Bazaar. look-see-look-see, no buy.

it rains after 1100hrs in the morning. like a curse it makes me lazy to wake up. by the time i'm ready to leave the house, the weather outdoor is very cloudy. good for taking a long walk. i declined cos' i'm going to work.

decided to have dinner at the staff canteen. i find many assortment and loving the rice with Bitter Gourd & i also had Sardines + Mackerel with Bread. i don't understand why they always complaint about the menu?

i used to live in hardship when i was younger, perhaps that what make me understand, never blame on the food when it's not tasty. i'm sad if someone did that because the food did not ready on itself - someone have to prepare & cook and someone have to order it. you can always blame this two but never blame the food.

Alhamdulillah... i have been enjoying many food without too much unnecessary comment.

i got my birthday gift from my colleagues. yeay! SGD$100 Tangs voucher, thanks to you. can give the voucher to my grandma... hope she will like it, for her to shop at Tangs.

i had a bite size of a Mooncake today. it was delicious and that was dinner besides 3 chunks of Toblerone given by Gian.

another off day with decision to come to Batam. i tried a different ferry route for this time. to International Ferry Terminal Batam Center on Batam Fast ferry scheduled at 1650hrs.

late lunch at CoffeTown in MegaMall with Zerro, i had Chicken Rice. bought some VCD's and a karaoke CD's. after that we went for a movie at XXI. watching an Indonesian comedy film titled "Maling Kutang" before dinner at food street outside MegaMall. we had Ketoprak. i like.

we have planned earlier on for this occasion. Hari Raya outing to friends place. it is sad Rudy was unable to join us...

my 1st stop is to Rosli & Wawa place at Yishun. the rest will be gathering there except for Zul & Yaya who will be waiting for us at their home in Woodlands. i enjoyed Wawa's Rojak Telur. yummy.

my 2nd stop. Zul & Yaya place at Woodlands. me like the Nasi Ayam and Chap Chye that Yaya mum's cooked. from there we will be on-riding Zul vehicle. the *topless lorry* as per Rosli. convoy with Bak & Fara.

my 3rd stop. Fara place at Petir Road. Fara maybe crazy & cranky but her mum, ROCKS! love the Nescafe, perfect. and the Laksa was nice.

my 4th stop. Rashid place at Jurong West. first time i saw Rashid's twin in person. they are so different and no one will believe they were twins. hmm...

my 5th stop. my home sweet home at Toa Payoh.

my 6th stop. Bak place at Sengkang. everyone loves the Soto made by his mum. S-E-D-A-P-!

my 7th stop. Fendi & Aishah place at Geylang East. if i were not full enough, i would have ate a bigger portion of the Mee Goreng and Cocktail Jelly.

end of the trip with GH friends. it was fun. thank you everyone. it's not over yet for me. i have one last house to visit this evening. i was sent by Bak and Fara. thank you people.

my 8th stop. Zizi place at Kallang Bahru. met some senior and new "sisters" - i and everyone enjoyed the teasing drama made to my beautiful friend Lyra. i had a good laugh.

i was invited to a Hari Raya open-house by Adik Idah. i arrived and meet up with very familiar faces, of course they are my family members. my greatest surprised was to meet Abang Zaki. such a long time, since the last time we met. Tom was there too - hellow.

the venue was at Bedok Reservoir, where the warm-heart family of Cik Ita lived. it was a pleasure and great hospitality with laughter and jokes. always... Thank You to Masrita & family.

from Bedok Reservoir to Bukit Batok. how convenient it was with bus service 506; but i was freezing cold. it was raining outside and i was sleepy inside. i arrived after seeing 3 after-accident situation on the highway. GOD BLESS. i'm coming to Mama Maria house. i was greeted by a loud TV volume which my brother Omai was watching.

my nephew and nieces was home but not the smart Nabil, he is out for jalan2 raya too. my sister Faheerah have cooked Yong Tau Foo for us. good you've learnt, except for the condiment sauce which Mama Maria freshly prepared. wow!... superb; and Mama Maria on the other hand had also prepared her signature dish. Ayam Panggang. it was delicious and dare i say the best. (i'm going to steal the recipe soon). thank you.

my male siblings, nephews and a niece with her 'baba' comforting themselves on the floor watching TV after dinner. 'baba' is my broter-in-law, was already asleep before i leave and i did not noticed that he had arrive earlier on. hmm... if you look from the below, many will think this house is closed. no, we are saving electricity bill actually...

i soon left for work.
